Ten Years After é uma banda britânica de rock e blues formada em 1967 por Leo Lyons, Ric Lee, Chick Churchill e Alvin Lee.

Seu segundo álbum, Undead, apresentava o maior sucesso do grupo, "I'm Going Home", que foi seguido por Stonedhenge e uma aparição explosiva no Festival de Woodstock.

A banda se dissolveu em 1974, reunindo-se em 1988 para algumas apresentações e um disco, About Time, de 1989. O mais recente álbum do Ten Years After é Roadworks de 2005.

ZZ Top é uma banda de rock dos Estados Unidos que destacou-se entre as décadas de 1970 e 1980, e são naturais de Houston, Texas. Os membros da banda são Billy Gibbons (vocal e guitarra), Dusty Hill (vocal e baixo) e Frank Beard (bateria).

Com um som de guitarra distinto e a letras satíricas (muitas delas a respeito de lugares e eventos de sua terra natal, o Texas) a banda provavelmente se destaca pelo seu visual diferente. Gibbons e Hill sempre são fotografados com óculos escuros, utilizando sobre-tudo e barbas gigantescas, o que torna esta combinação sua marca registrada. Frank Beard (Beard significa barba, em inglês), ironicamente não tem barba. Em 1984, a empresa Gillette ofereceu a Gibbons e Hill 1 milhão de dólares, para que eles aparecessem sem barbas em um comercial mas eles recusaram. Na época de George W. Bob Dylan (2): anos 70

O que Bob Dylan produziu no início dos anos 70 não foi bem recebido pela crítica, considerado muito abaixo de seus melhores momentos. Apenas algumas canções destacam-se: "If Not For You" (1970), "Knockin' on Heaven's Door" (1973), "Forever Young" (1974). Mas ao voltar às turnês, acompanhado pelo grupo The Band, retorna à evidência e ao sucesso, principalmente pelo elogiado duplo ao vivo "Before the Flood" (1974). Na retomada da carreira de forma mais ativa, Dylan produz "Blood On Tracks" (1975) e "Desire" (1976), seus melhores discos nos anos 70, aclamados pela crítica. Deste último, a canção "Hurricane", baseado na história de Rubin Carter, um boxeador negro preso injustamente, foi um sucesso espetacular, ao mesmo tempo que a turnê Roling Thunder Revue (75/76) era aclamada por crítica e público.

Mas após seu divórcio em 1977, da esposa Sara Lownes, com quem era casado desde 1965, Dylan viveu uma grande crise pessoal, que refletiu-se em seu trabalho artístico. Depois de uma turnê mundial em 1978, em parte registrada no duplo ao vivo "At Budokan" (gravado no Japão), ele voltou-se para a música gospel, ao converter-se e se filiar a uma igreja. Foi o período mais controverso e polêmico de sua carreira, principalmente por Dylan afastar-se de seu repertório clássico e investir em canções religiosas. Nesta nova fase, "Slow Train" (1979) ainda traz momentos inspirados: a canção "Gotta Serve Somebody" ganhou um Grammy, mas os discos seguintes são irregulares. (Wikipedia)
