Humble Pie é uma banda de rock and roll formada em 1969 por Steve Marriott (dos The Small Faces), Peter Frampton, Greg Ridley (ex-Spooky Tooth) e Jerry Shirley. Seu compacto de estréia foi "Natural Born Boogie", um sucesso britânico, que foi seguido pelo álbum "As Safe As Yesterday Is". Problemas pessoais e disputas entre gravadoras impediram a banda de atingir sucesso em massa, e Frampton deixou o Humble Pie em 1971 para iniciar uma carreira solo. (Wikipedia)

Talking Heads é uma banda musical surgida em Nova Iorque (EUA), no dia 8 de Setembro de 1974, em meio ao movimentos punk e new wave. Liderada pelo guitarrista e vocalista David Byrne, a banda ganhou notoriedade por fundir o rock com inúmeros ritmos, inclusive os africanos.

David Byrne nasceu em Dumbarton, Escócia, no dia 14 de Maio de 1952, e além do trabalho com o grupo, compôs trilhas para artistas como Twyla Tharp e Robert Wilson, nomes da dança e do drama respectivamente, além do filme “O Último Imperador” (de 1987, realizado por Bernardo Bertolucci) pelo qual ganhou um Oscar. Também dirigiu o filme “True Stories” (de 1986) e produziu diversos álbuns de música caribenha e brasileira (incluindo trabalho com Tom Zé e Margareth Menezes), notadamente “Rei Momo” (de 1989) e um vídeo documentário sobre o candomblé chamado “The House of Life” (também de 1989). O grupo Talking Heads existiu de 1977 até 1991. O Talking Heads fez a sua criação com a mistura do punk, rock, pop, funk, intelectualismo, e no final da carreira, com a world music. (Wikipedia)

The Allman Brothers Band é uma banda de Macon, Georgia, nos Estados Unidos da América, chamada pelo Rock and Roll Hall of Fame como os principais arquitetos do rock sulista estadunidense.

Formada originalmente em 1969, foram descritas dois anos depois por George Kimball, jornalista da revista Rolling Stone, como o "a melhor banda de rock and roll que este país produziu nos últimos cinco anos". Reconhecida por sua capacidade de improvisação impressionante, cujo melhor exemplo se encontra no álbum At Fillmore East, a banda foi premiada com onze discos de ouro e cinco de prata entre 1971-2005. A revista Rolling Stone listou o The Allman Brothers como um dos 100 Maiores Artistas de Todos os Tempos em 2004. A banda continua a gravar e realizar turnês até hoje. (Wikipedia)
