Nascido Warren William Devon, este cantor, compositor e multiinstrumentista americano de Chicago teve uma vida e carreira bastante conturbadas, já que em meio a crises e problemas pessoais produziu uma importante obra musical que seria reconhecida postumamente com cinco Grammy Awards. Suas canções repletas de ironia, humor e temas históricos e políticos, sempre bem elaboradas fizeram com que ele fosse muito admirado por seus colegas profissionais de música.
Em que pese ter feito bastante sucesso em fins dos 70 e início dos 80, sua obra não é muito conhecida do grande público, porém, após sua morte por câncer em 2003, com o trabalho de vários artistas e, principalmente seu filho Jordan Zevon tenta-se reparar esta injustiça e nós, humildemente nos juntamos a eles nesta homenagem.
